Put in your sheet size and the label size you want. It works out every row and column combination that fits, and ranks them by how little the label has to change to tile the sheet exactly.
Measure your printable area, not the paper. Most home printers cannot print to the edge and lose 3–6 mm on each side.

Four across and ten down, so forty per sheet, with a strip left over. If you want no waste the label has to stretch slightly — put 200 × 287 mm in above and the calculator shows you by how much.
Treat a circle as its bounding square. A 50 mm round sticker tiles like a 50 × 50 mm label. Hexagonal nesting fits more but almost no cutter supports it.
The labels fill the printable area with no leftover strip. Getting there usually means the label size moves a little. The deviation columns show exactly how much — positive means slightly bigger than you asked for, negative means smaller.
Because your requested size does not divide evenly into the sheet. Nothing does, usually. The ranking shows you the closest options so you can pick which compromise you would rather make — a wider label or a shorter one.
Yes. Sheet and label each have their own unit and they do not have to match.
Not yet. Subtract your bleed from the printable area before entering it. If you need a 2 mm gap between labels, add it to the label size instead.
